Terni Waste-to-Energy Plant

One of the most important plants among those we manage, it uses only waste material from paper to generate electrical energy.

For energy production, the Terni plant uses only paper mill pulper, a type of waste from paper and cardboard recycling processes.

More information about Terni Waste-to-Energy Plant

The plant is equipped with photovoltaic panels that power the site itself.

During 2023 the photovoltaic plant generated approximately 436 MWh of electrical energy. Of these, approximately 55% was used for the energy needs of the facility, while the remaining portion was fed into the electrical grid, benefiting the community.

In 2024, Terni Waste-to-Energy Plant returned to operation starting from May 2024, following revamping works that affected the flue gas treatment plant.
