Here, plastic waste carefully selected upstream is transformed into quality Secondary Raw Materials (SRM) – flakes and pellets – actively contributing to the ecological transition and the circular economy.
MEG, based in San Giovanni Ilarione (VR), is one of the central plants in the supply chain. Twin and complementary to Serplast, it specializes in transforming selected plastic into plastic pellets. This plant is characterized by high energy efficiency and the complementary use of regenerated processing lines, for greater sustainability.
MEG produces high-quality plastic semi-finished products, ready for industrial use or for regeneration in subsequent processes.
Serplast, operating in Cecilio Attanasio (TE), represents the most technologically complete plant in the supply chain. Complementary to MEG, Serplast is a mixed mechanical recycling plant that not only processes recycled plastic producing flakes and pellets, but completes the cycle with the manufacturing of regenerated plastic granules, ready for new industrial applications.
The presence of multiple production lines allows Serplast to treat large volumes of material with high-quality output, in compliance with the technical standards of the main industrial markets.
MEG and Serplast are twin and complementary plants, designed to work in synergy on similar materials but with distinct specializations:
MEG | Serplast | |
---|---|---|
Shredding and washing | ✓ | ✓ |
Separation by density/polymer | ✓ | ✓ |
Deferritization | ✓ | ✓ |
Pellet production | ✓ | ✓ |
Granule production | X | ✓ |
This complementarity between the two mechanical recycling plants enables operational flexibility and efficient volume management of plastic materials, adapting to market demands and the type of incoming waste.
